Monroe. The Monroe Cheese Studio works with rich organic Jersey cow's milk to produce handmade artisanal-style aged cheeses that reflect the unique seasons and terroir of mid-coast Maine. We offer only what is fully ripe from our cheese cellar, varieties of cow's milk cheese that include two blue cheeses, Blue Thistle and Lake Blue; Gray Clouds, a rich natural rind gouda-like tomme; a sharper cave aged cheese called White Walls. In addition we offer a rich and smooth organic Jersey cow's milk yogurt, as well as whole wheat sourdough bread made with Maine grown whole wheat when available.
