Appleton Creamery • Several varieties of award-winning fresh and aged goat and sheep cheeses, sheep milk yogurt, goat milk soap, goat milk fudge. Using traditional methods, cheeses are handcrafted daily in small batches with milk from our herd of registered alpine dairy goats. We are a small scale chemical free diversified farm specializing in edible mushrooms for the Belfast Farmers’ Market. Varieties will include oyster mushrooms, wine caps and shitake. Weather permitting, freshly foraged mushrooms will be on the menu as well.

Nursery in Swanville specializing in rare and unusual plants not offered as usual fare in retail centers. These include a wide variety of Rhododendrons, Dwarf Conifers, Woody Shrubs and Perennials. Dickey Hill Farm offers MOFGA Certified Organic seedlings and vegetables fresh from our fields in Monroe. Our unheated high tunnels allow us to harvest fresh winter greens and our small beef herd provides seasonally available grass fed beef. As we grow our business, we are committed to maintaining and enhancing the health of land while providing nutritious food to our community. We accept WIC and EBT.
Dig Deep offers mixed vegetables, pea shoots, micro green, and a variety of over wintered greens at the Belfast winter market and will bring micro greens, sunflower and nasturtium greens for the summer season.
For the love of fresh food and our seasonal Maine climate, Dig Deep Farm is a MOFGA certified organic diversified vegetable, fruit, and cut flower operation, with a focus on greens year round. Farm operator Dalziel Lewis collaborates with her spouse, Jon Strieff, on land stewardship, leasing 8 acres for production; we have a dog, and Dalziel teaches contemporary dance to adults for fun. Our farm is also committed to education and building community-based relationships, offering a work-exchange program, and CSA.

We handcraft small batch Koji, Miso, Amazake, and various Japanese fermented foods using select organic ingredients – local as much as possible – wild when available – and put plenty of love and respect to our foods. Our market offerings vary based on seasonal availability of ingredients and include a variety of Japanese seasonings as well as grab and go foods such as miso soup and onigiri. We raise chickens and turkeys on our own grain formula with no antibiotics or growth hormones and no animal by-products. We do all the labeling, processing and further processing ourselves. The Maine Meal is a licensed food processing kitchen located in downtown Skowhegan. Owners Mark & Kelly LaCasse procure high quality ingredients from more than 30 local suppliers to create gourmet prepared frozen cuisine, using traditional culinary methods to create a vast array of French fusion menu items including main dishes, side dishes and soups. Toddy Pond Farm is a diversified family farm in Monroe, ME. We milk 100% grass fed Jersey and Guernsey cows, raise pastured lamb, Gloucester Old Spot pigs, as well as laying hens and broilers. We also keep a small apiary of honeybees. We never use antibiotics or growth hormones. During the summer months we host 5 weeks of farm camps for kids ages 4 to 11.
You will find our farm products for sale at the market including yogurt, kefir, cheeses, eggs, pate, sauerkrauts, bone broth, and leaf lard as well as our woodland pork, pastures lamb and chicken.
