Double Your Harvest Bucks in November

STOP IN THIS FRIDAY AND SAMPLE THE SEASON

We’re having a Taste of the Market on Friday, November 16th. Members will have either a seasonal recipe and/or dish to share and sample at their tables.  It’s our way of saying thank you to all you loyal shoppers, and to whet your appetites for what you can do with our many fresh, local products this holiday season!

DOUBLE HARVEST BUCKS THIS NOVEMBER

Maine Harvest BucksFor the month of November the Market is doubling Maine Harvest Bucks vouchers earned by SNAP/EBT shoppers, offering them two dollars in additional value for each dollar spent using their benefits. Participants in the program normally earn a one-dollar voucher for each dollar they spend at market. Vouchers may be redeemed for vegetables and fruits at the issuing market any time through March 2019.

Maine Harvest Bucks nutrition incentive program rewards participants for choosing to shop locally and extends federal nutrition supplement funds by encouraging purchase and consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Maine Harvest Bucks program is managed by volunteers and receives funding from philanthropies. The program runs through March 2019. More information can be found at maineharvestbucks.org. Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, mainefarmersmarkets.org, has information on using EBT/SNAP at farmers’ markets statewide.
