New Beat Farm CSA ShareWinter’s retreat means CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) sign up time is under way across the country. Maine boasts a huge assortment of CSA options form farm shares to weekly traditional food box pick-ups and multi-farm offerings. Many offer goods beyond fruits and vegetables, like eggs, dairy products, cheese, meats, cut flowers and baked goods, in their selection.

Each Harvest Buck buys you $1 worth of healthy eating. Now its the time to redeem them at participating Farmers’ Markets throughout Maine. Belfast Farmers’ Market participates in this Maine nutrition initiative, and has plenty of vegetables for you to choose from.  You can learn more about the program and which markets are accepting them here and at maineharvestbucks.org.

Belfast Farmers’ Market is open every Friday, 9am to 1pm, year-round. In winter at Aubuchon Hardware, 231 Northport Avenue, and in summer in the yard at Waterfall Arts, 256 High Street, Belfast, Maine.
