Annual Migration

Belfast Farmers' MarketIt’s time for our annual migration. The snow is mostly melted, the Aubuchon Hardware Greenhouse will be filling up with spring flowers and the fields with dandelions and honey bees. Friday April 14th, we move to our summer location at Waterfall Arts, 256 High Street, Belfast. We’ll be there every Friday 9am to 1pm through October.

We are the original Belfast Farmers’ Market, serving the area with fresh locally produced foodstuffs since 1980. Come celebrate spring with a stroll in the open air. Market runs every Friday, rain or shine, and only severe thunderstorms or wind storms will stop us.

Those of us who have been serving you all winter in the greenhouse at Aubuchon will continue to do so plein air,  out there under the big sky, and be joined as the season progresses until we’re over thirty members strong. As May rolls on we’ll have musical entertainment; on June 9th  Kid’s Club begins, and other special events will be announced as they arise. Find us on Facebook, through our newsletter (sign up in the right sidebar of this page or on Facebook) and with updates on this site. The weekly newsletter is really worth a read! You can find back issues here.

Maret Info Table

We accept EBT/SNAP, CC & Debit Cards market-wide, thanks to the volunteers for the Maine Farmland Trust. Stop at the Market Info Table for details.  Additional volunteers are needed to orient customers to the market, process credit and EBT cards, and implement the Maine Harvest Bucks program.  Please contact Sophie at Maine Farmland Trust if you are interested in volunteering (, 207-338-6575).

Maine Harvest BucksNOTICE: Expired 2016 Maine Harvest Bucks can still be exchanged through the month of April at the Market Info table. More information on this program is available at

The Maine Harvest Bucks program expands markets for farmers and helps Maine families buy more local fruits and vegetables on a limited income. This nutrition incentive program earns SNAP/EBT users redeemable vouchers for purchase of locally produced fruits and vegetables, either fresh or processed, with no salt, sugar or fat added.
